Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! It’s officially time to start thinking about where you want to take your special someone. It’s not hard to find the perfect romantic restaurant thanks to the endless amount of breathtaking views and luxurious cuisine in St. Thomas, but it can be a little overwhelming. Whether you’re a local wanting to try a new place, or you’re visiting the island for a lover’s getaway, these restaurants are sure to make you feel like you’ve been struck by Cupid’s arrow!
Room With a View
The name really says it all for this one! Overlooking the cruise ship port, Room With a View is the ultimate combination of fine dining and spectacular views. Be sure to make your reservation for around 5:30 to 6:30 so that you can catch the sunset. This is definitely one of the pricier spots on our list, but its perfect for anyone celebrating a major milestone or particularly romantic Valentines.
Pesce Italian
Is there anything more romantic than Italy? You may be on a Caribbean island, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy authentic Italian cuisine. Close your eyes and imagine freshly made pasta, Italian wine, and the perfect romantic atmosphere. Are you drooling yet? We guarantee you’ll be singing “That’s Amore” the rest of the night!
Sunset Grille
If you’re a fan of long walks on the beach than a delicious dinner by the beach at Sunset Grille may be perfect option on Valentine’s Day. Overlooking Secret Harbour Beach, you can watch the sunset and listen the waves crash while enjoying dishes like grilled mango mahi-mahi and lobster mac and cheese made with brie and local lobsters.
Oceana
It’s nearly impossible to avoid breathtaking views on St. Thomas, and Oceana is proof of that. The romantic vibe of Oceana is paired with a dash of history since that property was first used in the late 1600s! Today, it’s known as one of the best spots on the island to impress a date. Some of our favorite menu items include the scallops and the filet mignon.
Thirteen
If your special someone is a foodie then Thirteen is the perfect place for them. Thirteen expertly combines unlikely flavors to form delicious and unique dishes, like their beef jerky salted New York strip and grilled Peruvian octopus. On top of their amazing menu, Thirteen also boasts an intimate setting and, of course, beautiful views of the island.
Virgilio’s
Virgilio’s is a legendary Italian restaurant and a great romantic option for Valentine’s Day. Thanks to the countless amount of art, extensive wine list, and authentic Italian flavors you’ll feel like you’re in the middle of Florence or Rome with your sweetheart. Our favorite dishes include the linguini al pesto and grilled duck salad. Virgilio’s also has a special place in our heart since it’s one of the restaurants on our St. Thomas food tour!
XO Bistro
You don’t have to break the bank to have a dreamy Valentine’s dinner. XO Bistro is the most casual restaurant on our list but is still polished enough to take your date. Plus they have a great selection of vegetarian and gluten-free options, like their vegetable wellington and crab topped Mahi.
